Thought I'd share me and Jr's cars for the big shindig. Unfortunately no fancy fenders like I had wanted to do. Like most of you though, I wish we had more time, but I only had a few days to get these together. We wanted to do a street rod as well but the chassis was becoming a nightmare.
Anyhow, I'm an F1 fan and Jr wanted to do a red Ferrari (he called it the Alonso car...ugh). He came up with the color scheme and decals. I wasn't sure where he was going with the F1 logo, but once it was on the body it looked good IMO. Made him polish axles, spray body, and install graphics so he'd have some skin in the game.
I've always liked the gulf oil racing colors from the late 60's/early 70's so ran with that scheme for mine. The front left on it looks wonky cause I had to bend the axle up cause the body was originally dilled to be 4 on the floor.
