While my son was busy building his pinewood masterpiece, I built and entered an outlaw car. We joked about building a ducted fan car for a couple of years, so it was time to make it happen The hardest part was finding a brushed motor to fit into a ducted fan to attach to a lighter weight 9V/capacitor power source vice a LiPO battery. The attached video link shows the results.

We set-up a 42' Best for a Corp Event last year. The company had pine wood derby racing. The last class was an outlaw class. The fast cars had dual fans on then. One guy had a 3d printed body he made. The motor had a two stage ECU, bottom line it was so fast it blew out the back of the stop section and landed on the floor in one piece. They car be wicked fast!!!
