Outlaw race

I think Pickneyville is only about an hour from us Maglev.

HMH, did you hear back as to what type of track/stop section they're running? I don't know that I would drive an hour if it's a wood track with a crash box. lol.

Hey if it's not bad, maybe I could mail you my sons car if the rules are similar to MA's.

I want to see the rules before I commit to being a proxy surrogate. lol.

But if I end up going I'd be down for taking yours along.

Your a gentleman. If the rules aren't similar I don't want to do much modifying.

I am trying to get a copy of the rules. They were posted on the facebook page but are not there now.

The outlaw class is basically any wheels, 5oz. NO BEARINGS, bushings allowed.

the other class is a "regular derby car" (their words) graphite, 5oz and BSA wheels. When I talked to the guy it sounds like the BASX and cheetah's are allowed.

When I called they were going to use one Best track (that they are borrowing) and one wooden with a blanket or foam block for a stop, which is their pack track.

I told him I would not run any of my cars on a wooden track with a block for a stop. I volunteered to bring my 3 lane Best track and computer. I have 2 stop sections with dividers between each lane. So I will be attending and helping them out. It is a fund raiser for their pack. I believe they are wanting to buy a new track. I have no idea what the entry fee is, I am hoping they post it also. This is the first year for this so if we can get several "hard core" racers there, I believe we can help steer them in the right direction.

If you click the Face Book link they have posted the outlaw rules. The "regular derby" race rules should be posted soon. I believe the fees will be $20 for the first car and $10 for each additional car.

Looks like the wheels don't have to be on the side of the car or opposite each other for this one!

And I see oil is legal for the Outlaws.

Looks like a well built needle/razor car wins that race..... They must have not got the memo that nobody wants to race needles any more.... yeah for them!

Why did needles fall out of favor? (Just asking out of curiosity).

wait I forgot to add this at the end of that last post...
blah

HMH, were you able to obtain a copy of the "regular derby car" rules as well?

Did they decide to use the wooden track or your track?
