Painted disc?

Not yet. but I am about to paint a tungsten canopy tomorrow. What are your concerns?

Yep, I've painted a few of them. Just clean it with some soapy water or solvent to get the grease off of it first. I used an acrylic lacquer which had pretty decent adhesion...just don't pick at it /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif An enamel would most likely have excellent adhesion.

On a side note, my days of painting them are over after a coworker was kind enough to make me some vinyl decals after I helped his son win their derby last year

That is a very sweet looking car.

I have heard they are hard to paint... We decided to go with a wood cover over a square tungsten weight.

MGH, is that your new SS car? if so, GREAT LOOKING!!!

Its actually on old SS...my first one with fenders and last one using the tungsten rounds. I wish it were faster, since it is so pretty /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

W...I don't think they are any more difficult to paint than steel. I just wouldn't expect 100% adhesion with lacquers. I've been using vinyl over them since its easier to change the look of them...small pieces of fake carbon fiber vinyl are only a few $ on ebay.
