If you have a passion for building, researching, seeing and entering these pinewood derby cars like me and my son do, then you know how much this contest means to us. We would really appreciate your vote! The contest ends in less than 24 hours. Below is our car. Thank you!!

My son is william wolf creek he is leading now, you guys are gaining on us fast. Nice car bud, but in the spirit of competition I hope this forum only votes for the guy who has been here for years! Good luck man!

I would love to vote for every kid who builds a car, but since I can only vote once, I have to vote for my NPWDRL brother, especially since he beat me last race. But I got something for him at the end of the month...

BulldogRacing - This forum has really helped you and I like that so many people have supported you and your son. Y'all are tough to beat. It's nice to read about other people that love this as much as us. I wish y'all luck!
B_Regal Racing - If we don't beat him you will have to do it for me.

Obsessedderbydad - No worries. I did cut the car and do the nose. My son did the dremel for the eyes and axles. He also did sanding and base coats of white. I wanted my dad to do the painting because this was the first car that me and my son built. I wanted this car to be special. At the time me and my son built this car, my dad was inundated with cancer. My dad helped me build my cars while I was in scouts and I wanted to have his mark on this car. It took him weeks to paint the car because his fingers hurt so bad. This car means a lot to me. He passed a couple of months after. Not all nice cars come from dads. I had my own car to build.

3 generation build. You just never know the stories behind these small but fascinating blocks of wood.

You're not making this easy. Don't you just want 2nd for a while? /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Why not call it quits for today and start back in the morning! /images/boards/smilies/tongue.gif

Great story. I feel your pain about losing a dad. I lost mine this past year to cancer as well. He was able to see my son win 1st overall at districts last year at least. That was a blessing.

Sorry to hear that. We went through the same thing last year. At times I pick up the phone to call him to ask for advice or how to do something and then it clicks that he is no longer with us. It's hard.

Jeremy, you are a tough competitor. You need to join this league and race with us! The guys here have helped me and my son out so much. I'm sorry to hear about your father, God bless you guys.

Jeremy Congrats on the tough race! To all my NPWDRL brothers we did it! We will plug this forum with this opportunity. The support from you guys is amazing. B-reg I can't wait to see your car go and believe me I'm not at all cocky! With out your help I would not have broke 3 seconds, thank you guys. I want to tell you as Jeremy was gaining on my son and I my boy asked me if we could rive to town and start asking for votes, He and his mom and I made some signs and went to some stors and explained to the public what william was trying to accomplish. He asked for their votes and the little town here helped a ton! My boy learned many lessons, and I thank you for being a part of this victory! His picture of his car will be displayed in Lowes across the country!

Way to go William and Bulldog ! ! !

I was asked to help the Lowe's here in Akron put on their workshops this year. It was a lot of fun.

Congrats on the win! Enjoy the race !
