Please keep Opa in your prayers. He was in a bad accident on his way home. I talked to him and he sounds good. Here is an email I got from his family.
Hi Family,
Please feel free to call me, if you would like to talk in more detail. Sherry called me and she would like me to be the point person for calls right now. Sherry will be in hospital room with Roger, but she does not want to wake him with phone calls and talks, while in the room. You could always text her and she could call you when she is able.
Sherry and I spoke for some time, we had some good tears shed. Dad looks to be doing remarkably well, and Sherry has been so strong and supportive at his side. Sherry and I both agree it's been a miracle for Roger, after all she's seen and heard from police and doctors. Sherry asks all to please put Roger's name on the prayer roll in your temple.
Dad was in Utah with Tadiana and my families, and left by car back to Denver after church. A semi-truck was stalled out in the middle of road on a cut-off highway between Rawlins, WY and Fort Collins, CO. Around 9:30 PM, no light on truck, no traffic, and dad swerved at last minute and rolled the Caddillac terribly. All airbags deployed, car was absolutely smashed like an aluminum can, and first responding medical told Sherry they did not plan to find him alive.
Dad has many cuts and and bruises (now many stitches here and their on his face, hands and arms. He did have a concussion. He is totally alert at this time, and talking with Sherry and Drs when awake. They've done a lot of tests, CT's, X-rays, etc. Everything looks to be good so far. His back hurts and they'll be checking that out more closely. Sherry or I will update you on condition and tests. She spent whole night at hospital by Roger's side. Sherry's truly grateful that he still with us and looks to be on the way to recovery.
Keep Rog and Sherry in your prayers. Love you all,
