I have a wish list of items that I plan on purchasing over time. So the question is, in what order would you purchase your derby equipment/tools?

Hands down "The Silver Bullet" or the Goat Boys new drill idea for canted wheels is number 1. Need Drill press or a really steady hand
Dremel is number 2 or 1 for tools
cheetah wheels and pro axles
tungsten cubes 4.0 oz

I would say this depends on how many cars you plan on building initially. The first on my list would be a Dremel and have John drill the bodies initially. This way you would have some extra budget money to purchase weight, axles and wheels. Once you have these items and want to step up your game, then buy the "Silver Bullet" but you'll need a drill press. The Proxxon is a popular choice. Goat Boys new drill fixture may be an option too, if available. Of course, in order to drill you'll need some carbide drill bits, once you have the other items to drill your own bodies.

I think once this is all in place, expand your tool inventory, this will depend on how addicted you are as to what you choose to buy. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the advice, my list is getting shorter. (silver bullet and drill press) Now i just have to intercept the boxes before my wife sees.

Most importantly, I forgot to mention this previously, is the Legend Car Carrier. This is by and far the MOST important piece of equipment that you will need if you intend to proxy race. It is the best piece of insurance to protect your hard work against the rigors of shipping. You simply cannot beat it for the price!

I have been building my collection ! The best bet is just go down to home savings and pull out a loan for a small fortune !
Listen to her scream for a week or two then you should be good ! If you buy small pieces each time one comes in you get screamed at ...... Everytime one shows up ! Just take the chance. Look at it on the bright side if she gets that upset and leaves ...... Well you have plenty more money to spend on your hobby !

Take the allowance and run with it . At least she gives you one !
