Anybody ever experimented with fenders on one of these types of cars? To me the wheels should be more aerodynamic than the flat tread wheels, just curious if it's something worth playing around with.

If you have shaved the wheel they should be about 1/16 “ thick now or thinner. I think using fenders would cause more friction then the thin-wheels alone. Try polishing the out side of the wheels instead of using fender. Do this by sanding the outside of the wheels with 2000 grit sandpaper 1st wet dry only remove any scratches before applying any polish. There are many different types of polish I use mirror glaze they use for show real show cars gives I nice high gloss.
