Which side does the bent nail go into, and what is a good starting position to get things dialed in? I'm also looking for opinions related to how much drift should be applied.

Put the DFW on either side, it's personal preference. if you don't have a test track shoot for 4" in 8' drift.

If I buy the block and axels from you, I imagine the dominant wheel will be the right one, and you will lift the left wheel (drift will be to the right).

On the axels: if I buy them from you already prepped, do you use apply your zero friction bit to them, or is it a light prep that I have to finish?

if the front left wheel is lifted the drift will be to the left, the dominant wheel ( the one that steers) will turn into the center guide.

I do usually lift the left side. The car will turn left. If I prep the axles all you have to do is add lube when you put the car together.

If you are right handed, make it a right dominant front wheel. If you're left handed, make it a left dominant front wheel. It's easier to tune. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I definitely wouldn't call it wrong. It's just a little easier. A persons dominant hand has more refined motor skills for minor adjustments. You can easily just flip the car over.
