Raw Body cut out

With my style there is often much waste so I go thru it like paper towels. It might have to wait for that special car. I have heard some say that minor weight things are not that significant. It is one of my favorite subjects though. It must add a bit, but not as much as synergy and consistency.
I have not heard anyone dismiss vibrations, even though I know Kinser would like to tame them.
It might have been "hollowed out bodies" where someone was talking about leaving voids and how it will vibrate like a guitar. Balsa seems like a staple idea, but I have heard foam is lighter.

Imagining it is white foam I started to wonder about FoamCore. The continuation of that thought would be towards GatorFoam.

Nope. Won't work. Too much of an amplifier. Dense rubber would do it but it would be heavy.
Perhaps it is the soft grey foam that is used.

Unless!

It relates to Kinsers idea about noise frequency.

Perhaps it is best to shed the vibrations.

I bet QT has binders full of stats about this stuff.

The first edition, should be published by this summer!! Last page count was 1,000,001. Hope you guys like to read!!!

I think you will like the quote on page 976,254 on in chapter 39 entitled: other uses of micro vibrations.

Nice router work bulldog. Did you use a jig or do it by hand with the dremel router. I wish I had router skills to do that. You all would laugh at how I "route" out my weight pockets

In the photo above is going to be My Daughter" s racer I want to go thin this year and when I saw bulldogs thin cut and the nose of it I knew what I wanted we are going to build a Piano racer just paint style anyway
I have a drill press that I can attach a drum sander to,a Palm sander and dremel with small sand drums of the 3 ways which would any of you choose to use to get the slope look like Bulldogs

Did you use the drill press with the Silver Bullet to drill axle holes and then slot them? I just use a belt sander that I built into a jig to hold it with the belt up.

That's b.c Ur skills are too good. I suck with the belt sander. On the belt sander, any tips on why the belt won't stay straight now? It wants to drift off.

I drilled with the Silver Bullet into the existing slots since I kneed to show the axles fully
I need to use what I already have in tools belt sander is not one of them

I'd use the drum sander then. It's probably your best bet. Good on ya for drilling, that's a big plus! /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

Hey ODD,

Most belt sanders have two knobs on them.

One is too loosen the belt so it can be swapped out. The other knob/ dial is for tracking the belt.

I like to do the tracking when the machine is running so I can see it track back and forth until I get it centered.

This Mandy's car after sanding and driling weight pockets, I gave up trying to do the bigger weight pocket after the terrible job I did with small pocket in back
The tape you guys use can be gotten at Home Depot or Lowes is that correct
I am using last year's axles and wheels since they only had 5 runs down the track, just need to bend dfw axle for rail running I am going to go 7 degrees that should work just need to be right the first time wish me with that
Kinser I went and got a bigger sand drum 1.5 worked fine

By the way I am still using cubes but going to add putty in holes over top of cube thats the reason for tape ? Race is not til 1 pm check in at 12-12 45
