Razor wheel diameters

Have any of you run any experiments to determine the effect of different wheel diameters on speed for your Eliminator and Unlimited cars? The rules all state a maximum diameter but do smaller ones run faster? Also is there any advantage to having a smaller diameter front wheel than the rears? And, how important is it to have both rears with identical diameters, say within .001" or .002' of each other?

I don't know where the sweet spot is in reducing the diameter. But reducing the diameter does definitely reduce the time.
But if you cut them down yourself, better have one of those gauges that show if the wheel is out of round. Even 1/1000 off on one of the sides will kill the time.
