Razors made from backspaced wheels

Have any of you used backspaced wheels to make razors for eliminator class? (I.e. Pinecar brand spoked wheels)

I should have asked for just pinecar wheels instead. I assume the BSA wheels are offset to. Anyone use these and care to comment. I am making razors out of them and get a very light wheel. I run them backwards but can not use spacers. This does not seem to cause to much trouble but It would be cool to get some feedback on what others have done. Does anyone have to use pinecar wheels

Any suggestions for making eliminator wheels ??? Specifically the hub length. I see many eliminator wheels with short hub length but built so the hub extends out on either side of the wheel. As I tried to ask/explain above I can not seem to do this as the pinecar wheels are "backspaced", for lack of better way to word it .

I think your not getting answered because no one is really doing it. I make mine from acrylic. If I had a set of pine car wheels I would give it a try. I think if you tried to call John he could help you out.

Any wheels I have made into razors have never been as fast as the Eliminator wheels that are machined including the acrylics. I would not run them reversed without a spacer because they will hit the body. I just made a set of Eliminator style wheels out of the Pinecar and they still were 1.2 grams. I am sure they will torch other pinecar wheels. I just coned the outer and inner hub but did not take much off the total width. If you compare apples to apples then I am sure they will be fast and they aren't very hard to make just time consuming.

Cool thanks for the responses, they are pretty easy to work with, I am able to get them to 0.4 grams but was looking for better ways to address the fact the the wheel will never be the machined eliminators in regards to the hub orientation to the wheel. It would be cool to get some hub on the other side of the wheel but I can not find a good way to do that.

I always felt like if I don't reverse them it makes for so much more room to wiggle. I guess if the car doesn't wiggle that won't matter but I've always done a little better in the reverse position. Maybe it changes the way the hub sits on the axles??

Wow .4's!!! That is awesome!! You should send it in and race the eliminator class. That way you can use spacers also.

I would really like that. You're acrylics have got to be about the same. I should say that mine are usually around .5 but I can get to .4 now.

I'm thinking of making spacers out of my fourth wheel so I "only use what's in the kit". That would probably be better for my company race.I need a better way to punch them out or something. Then it's Teflon and a legend shipping box and I'll see how I do.
