What's the consensus on sanding the rear end of a wedge style car? Do you keep the top and bottom parts flat? Round the top part only? Bottom only? Or round both? Which gives you the least amount of drag?

I know the drag factor isn't much, but I would think that sanding/rounding the top rear end is preferred, while leaving the bottom rear flat. Thoughts? Thanks!

Sort of depends on other aero that you are utilizing to determine if you will recieve any benefits. Ie....fenders, air shields, ultra smoothed surfaces ect....it not focus on a great axle wheel prep and shape the body to your liking

The body is a thin wedge with front and rear fenders. Wheels are placed all the way to the rear. Just trying to squeeze every bit of speed.

The most aero shape would be a sharp rear....due to weights this is normally not possible. Gently rounding rear top and bottom should give a slight aero advantage but the best eheel and axle prep will be your largest speed gains

I drilled holes across the body and was able to use tungsten cylinders. The height of the car in the rear is just over 3/8". So the rear of the car can be left alone. Right now it is sharp and not rounded. Thanks.
