What remote gate start do you prefer for a 2 lane 42 Best Track with a Micro wizard K3 timer?
Would you go with a ESS , New Direction or ?

yes... I added padding to the gate to soften the impact when the gate pulls. I get consistent runs every time...

Does it have a trigger button on it or do you have to use a wired remote to trigger it?
I can not see from the pictures on the website.

Mine has a wired push button on a 10 ft. cord..... but I bought mine 5 or 6 years ago so you may want to ask. I think I would go for a button with a 50 ft. cord so I could stand further down the track if I had a choice.

I see that the power supply is 24v so you could use the wireless receiver I posted recently if you wanted a wireless release button.

Looks like you are quite the Pinewood Derby MacGyver, that is a pretty neat setup.

I have a problem with my electronic start gate... Most of the time, when I am running my cars, I forget my wireless remote in the house, so I have to use the electronic push button.


I need to fix my memory when I take cars to my shop. LOL

That is exactly why I was wanting one with a push button on the actual start gate as well as the ability to have a remote (wired or wireless) control. It looks the main two are the ESS or New Direction when using the Micro wizard K3 timer.
I just want an easy setup and consistent pull every time.
