Remote release question

This is for Bulldog and any others that have done a Ghetto style (low cost) remote start gate for your Best Track. ...now that you have had it for a while, how does it work? Would you do the same thing again or would you go a different route?

I really appreciate any/all answers as I am trying to glean as much information from those that have plowed the path before me. Thanks!

all you need is a door lock actuator and keyless entry for a car ...get you a power conveter on ebay and you are set

How long have you had one? I am just wondering about durability of the door lock version?
