Reprep for graphite

Ok, next stop is Districts in March

To reprep for graphite, should I just wipe the axles down with alcohol or go back to the DD4H axle polish on leather step?

For the wheels, I assume inspect closely, clean with alcohol and use #2 polish in the bore and then graphite again.

Keep the tune and just add graphite. Don't pull the wheels and axles, unless you're totally unsatisfied with it. Just puff graphite into the wheel bore from the bottom of the car, next to the body and tap the wheel a little while holding the axle head side down. Spin it a little to work it all the way down into the bore. You can also puff a little behind the axle head and spin it a little.

Wow, the KISS theory. This is our neighbors car that I helped build so don't have it. My kids cars were beat up and very out of tune. Not sure if it was the beating from the foam "garage" stop system (frequent 3 car pile ups) or the boys playing with them before I saw the cars!

I may have to pull the front wheels to retune anyway

If you have to pull the wheels you shouldn't have to go through a reprep, other than add graphite unless you have one of these issues.

It's always a good idea to thoroughly inspect the wheels and car after racing on a track like that. Check the tune. Check the wheels for wobble, or cracks. Check for wheel stress also, it looks a lighter color of the wheel sometimes white. Check to make sure the axles didn't get bent. Also, check the body of the car for cracks, particularly around the axle insertion point and along the wood grain lines.

I'm sure one of the guys here will help out if I've overlooked something.
