Ok I have the spacers from john,92s and 1 gram wheels from john. The small side goes to the wheel between the wheel and body. Also is 3 degrees enough cant or did I need more cant. Our bsa rules say nothing about spacers, washers. Wanting to run them reversed this time because council race is on a 42ft best track. Rule on wheels just say no narrowing of tires, Must have bsa on the outside of tire. Any help on running reverse wheels. I would b very thankful guys. Never done this one before!!
hmmm

3 degree cant on the rears is standard, you can run the front DFW wheel the normal way with positive cant and 4" drift over 4'. Running the wheels in reverse with the negative cant uses the strongest part of the wheel that bears the weight of the car and wheel and rides down the track. The 1 gram wheels, make sure they have the lettering on the outside, if the rear wheels are reversed they might ask to see the lettering and make you take a wheel off... Double check your rules for washers or spacers as all my local district racers specify no washers.....

Good luck, have fun, and be a compassionate winner / loser

Here they r Kinser. What do u think about it?
MXquad I am always a good winner/loser. All remember its just for fun and games!

Our rules said no washers, so I just used the sheet. I am guessing this is the same thing that the washers are made of, but I made them square instead of round.

Our rules used to say that and a hole lot of other stuff to. Council kept changing them every year and everybody had a hard time with them. Now its has been this way for about 3 years now and it is very simple now. They still don't like the oil!!! But other than that it real easy. Just wanting to try the reversed wheels one time. Does the spacers need to move on the axle or need to b rigid to keep wheel from rubbing. Just asking a lot here guys remember never done this one before.

I could see them enforcing no washers under “A. Cars must be made from BSA Pinewood Derby kits (#17006). The use of non-BSA parts is prohibited (excluding lube, paint, decals, and weights).” (Washers are not included in the excluding list.)

This one to myself, someone could cry enough to make them use it to the letter.

I think that is really a stretch interpretation of that rule. To me, the intent of that rule is to say that the BSA wheels and axles must be used (even possibly refering to the block).

Yep it is I agree. Might just run them the other way. Our pack got first thru 5 th at district so we should b good

Good catch KC. I think that this is where it could be a problem. Otherwise, that's a really lose rule set, and I like that. You could however content that paint isn't in the kit either. The problems will occur if you're fast (which you will be, you're here!).

the rules as quoted have paint covered.

You're right. I just was just using that as something that wasn't in the kit. It does specifically state paint though. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I shoulda known that...no Legoman drivers though!

How about washers and spacers made from the BSA block that are covered in Sally Hansen?

Now that we are on the subject.

What about spacers and washers made from a BSA wheel?
