Running Test Cars

I am looking at running a couple of cars in SS each month to test new methods and products. To keep the consistency month to month I am looking at plug and play blocks so the steer is the same, one less variable.

I am sure others are sending in some test cars with new stuff and I am curious if there are any tips or input on what others are doing to get the best feedback from the testing.

Without convenient access to a track for testing currently I am limited to raceday testing. It is more time consuming and cost me more entry fees so I am looking for input on how to get the best testing feedback.

Since they are test cars I am not as concerned with them being the fastest. Just consistent. Anything that works will get transferred to another car. Plus they are good field fillers and keep the car counts high.

My only advise is document everything you do during your prep process. A very wise racer once sent me some words of encouragement after I hit a rough spell. If your trying new things to see what works you can confuse yourself or forget what you have done.....trust me I know. Good luck, hope you find some speed!
