Sanding Joints on a Best Track.

That's the wrong Bob, although seeing you in an afro would be fun. /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

I also beveled the leading edges of the next track section ever so slightly. That is, if the slope was was considered #1 and the curve, the next section, was considered #2, I beveled all of the edges on #2 that mate to #1, maybe by a 1/64". There was not much guidance on it, but I did the same, until I could not feel the transition, at least when moving in the correct direction.

As a side note, I only assemble the track one way, with each section ordered and oriented in a specific direction.

Nice video Bulldog! The picture/sign over your left shoulder says it all, Small Effort Everyday.... (I couldn't read the rest of it). That is so true with these cars.

Bulldog, it might be a good idea to vacuum the track between grits so you don't catch any of the coarser debris in your finer grits. You can use one of the polish wadding products like Nevr Dull after you're done sanding.

Nice job on the video man!

Small Effort Everyday, create amazing results. This is the rest of the sign. Thanks GX.

Are the joints that you're sanding just pressed together on the floor or are they clamped to keep them mated tight?

I used the clips it came with and made sure the track was tight when sanding each lane at the time but I'm going to start using c clamps at each section, they will hold much, much better.

After the Eagle One Nevr-Dull I'd recommend a final polish with Mothers Billet Metal Polish...

Don't use Simple Green anymore because it dulls the finish over time.

Just use Pledge Lemon Wipes from here on out to clean the track.

Simple green is the only cleaner that best track recomends

Whatever you do don't use anything that has amona
