Great point and I see the concern. I do not own one of these stations, just observations being made.
As with any power tool, proper use and common sense goes a long way. Safety first! Understand the operation of any power tool before use.
Proper use tells me the material should be feed in against rotation. Common sense says to minimize the amount of material removed, on any given pass, will reduce pitching or kickback.
Would I own one of these? Sure would.
