I thought that I ordered a couple of Legend shipping boxes but I made a mistake and when my package came from John of course they were not in there. Can I still race if I make a box to ship them?

Of course you can. Just make sure it covers all your parts and can't be crushed easily during shipping.

I will place an order for boxes for the next round, when I will also get some nice wheels and axles.

I am realizing that I have been screwing around with the details of the body when I should have been paying more attention to the wheels and axles!

This first time thing has been a real learning experience, but I will be better prepared next time. I have a feeling that pink avatar will be mine. Oh well.

That was my concern. I know I can get it there safe but I am now realizing the numbers involved in these races.

Any non uniformity costs time.

I will do my best to make it simple.

Go to UPS and buy a 9 inch box.
Go to Hobby Lobby and get some material (even Styrofoam).
Cut the Sty, first to fit the box. 2nd, hollow out a cavity the shape of the car.

I use DD4H boxes for the normal classes, but the above method for Steet Rod.
I could have used all of the above for normal classes, but using DD4H's boxes saves me time.

Also at HomeDepot you can buy rolls of 1" Velcro which isn't as messy as using tape to seal the boxes, race after race. after race. Previously I had some boxes with over 1/8" of tape on them after using the same box for many race events.

I just realized that I don't have to send things to Utah for another 7 days! I thought today was my final day to get things ready. It ain't easy being me.
