I've got pretty much a one-track mind, and absolutely love the Street Rod class. Let's use this thread to post pictures of a class that really is about the show. Add your car even if it isn't racing.

(Let's please keep the dialogues to a minimum, to maximize the density of pics.)

I'll start it off with my current pair (more in the works).

The Calliente
This is the second iteration of her. I cut a new chassis, drilled with the block, and is now using DD4H wheels.

OK Crash, I finished a Street Rod just to make you happy!

The kit arrived sans engine so I made a pinewood injector scoop for it and in an homage to Kinser I used a silver metallic Sharpie to "paint" the scoop and headlights. I used Model Master Royal Blue Pearl lacquer on the body.

BR - That does make me very happy! /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif And kudos to you for building a proper scoop for the body!

cool

I finished the body and chassis (but not wheel/axle prep yet) for my newest SR, The "Bahn Burner":

I custom made the headlights using aluminum foil for the buckets, then hand cut plastic for the lenses.

The model measures at 2-3/4" wide, and <7" long, so it meets Scout regs (if standard wheelbase isn't enforced). It's my entry into the Leaders' group of our Pinewood Grand Prix this weekend.

It has a 3.5" wheelbase. This one's gonna be squirrely!

Alright here's the finished new SR minus the wheels. This will most likely be a all show and no go car but man I love the way it turned out. To me it looks way better in person than the pictures. Rattle can paint can be pretty.
