Okay, guys, I am going to weigh in here about this Silver Bullet Pro. I just got mine in the mail today, and drilled some bodies, and checked them out. This thing is RIGHT on with all of the checks I could throw at it. I mean, my first check is to see the rear axles are parallel, and I was happily surprised to see these bodies come out perfectly parallel. My next check is to see how the toe is on the rear axles... again... perfect! In the past, I have had problems with lazy drills as far as angles of the rear axles are concerned. One side will not be the same exact angle as the other... I don't have to worry about this any longer... the angles are the exact same on both sides!
Okay... so that is all of the alignment issues I used to have with my drilling.
Now, one of the things I really like about this one is that the spacing from the rear to the center of the 3* axle is 5/8". I slap my car body into the jig, press it to the back, and it is perfectly set to the distance I want for my rear axles... no more trying to make sure I have my car end spaced off the end just right... one less thing to worry about... but hey... if you don't like your axles at 5/8" (or if you are drilling a scout car), there are guide lines along the top now to help you with your axle positioning.
Great job on this drill jig John... and thanks for listening to some of the suggestions we had when we were giving feedback on the previous versions ! ! !

Well to be honest I have always been skeptical of these drill jigs, but I received mine yesterday and I am a believer…. I test drilled a block last night (using Bulldogs method) and it was dead on perfect. Call me impressed… THANKS JOHN!

Can you post a picture of the new version with the guide lines? I got mine but no guide lines. I guess I should have waited for latest version.
But, what I have works great. Alignment is perfect. I do not have the experience of you guys but working to get there. I will be building first car to race once I get a few more tools.

It is just lines scribed across the center of the drill hole... a square and a scribe will take care of that for you.
It just means that everything else matters more now.I hate these jigs. I'm losing my advantage
Prep becomes even more important, as with everything else. Leave no stone unturned!
