Single Rear Needle Axle

I am planning on building an Unlimited car and ordered the single rear needle axle from John. I ordered one a while back for a car that I was building in a local race and while I was trying to push it thought the axle holes one of the ends bent. After getting the end straighten back out the best I could, it ran OK.

Any suggestions on how to install the axle better would be appreciated.

You have to drill the hole with a #42.

You're going to need a new axle too. It's not worth hoping it's straight.

A 3/32" drill bit is what I use.

Don't force it. Relax the hole with a 3/32" drill bit or cut the middle of the axle bar out so it only goes through just the sides of the body.
