I need to focus on the scouts this time of year so I'll be sitting out this first series ... Maybe send in something in March just to see where the cars are at.

Just didn't want anyone to worry. Or get too excited that I'm gone. I'll be back.
peace

Good luck to all, particularly those running the X3 styled cars!

I don't blame you, tfrom what I've seen the NSC derby is pretty competitive for a scout race. How did your kids fare last year?

Well that's part of it. I'm actually going to relax a bit with my kid's builds because we no longer need to win to qualify for the council race. Its open to all who want to race. However, I've started to help out other families this time of year too and am getting a lot of satisfaction from infecting others with the bug.

The Lightnin Boy clan took home a 1st place and 2nd place trophy (in their respective ranks) at last year's council. It is crazy tough competition particularly in my oldest son's age group where there are *several* sons of league racers.

I'm sitting this series out also.. Just don't have time, nor parts even to build anything if I wanted to race.. I might try to have a few for NATIONALS... My new job has been keeping me very busy... I believe there are several racers sitting this series out...
JBD RACING..

I barely got mine ready, actually I forgot to put Jig on some of the axles, oh well. Did a couple of things a little different so we will see. I got my new track but still working on a few things with it. Also building 4 scout cars and 3 kid cars for open division. It is PWD everyday at the house. Hope things settle down so I can tune the track and start experimenting a little.

I am also taking, at least, the first race of this series off. Work has been very busy and many long hours. Good Luck to everyone.

IIRC there were a lot of guys that wanted a better experience and got it. Continued support would be awesome. /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

Yes, John has really made a big effort to get a permanent location to run the races and showing a lot of dedication (even running the 'encore race' for the cars that arrived late back in December). We participants need to support his efforts. And if it means just sending in a car from previous event with no changes or reprep, so be it. I know one guy did that back in the fall, and the car actually ran faster on the second submission (with zero reprep).

I'm all in this race - at least the three classes that I race. Hope to see some number of new Street Rods on the track as we get more builders.

I,m in with five, one for each class except SR. I just opened my boxes Monday after MOTM, all put together in last two evenings, not a single test run or tweek. My track basically got knocked out of aligment, cat threw up on it and a couple weeks ago my wife drug a christmas tree acrossed it while I was at work! lol Didnt even have the motivation to touch it with the short time frame.

Good luck to all! Kinser, you in for this race? Hope to see you there! /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif I'll be there. I may have to leave early but I'll be there.

I also will be sitting this series out, I was hoping to get something worth sending ready bud didn't happen. I may get something together and send in for later months of series, but with running our pack derby (for my first time this year), trying to get a district derby organized and ran this year, and assisting with the Mid America derby again its a busy time
