Hey fellas,

A bit off topic but...

This super rich guy wants me to place a bid on building him a slot car track.

I know nothing about slot cars. He wants it to be modeled after the "Circuit of the Americas" in Texas. Full color architectural models with trees etc.

He wants the track to be about 10' X 15'.

Does anyone here know about high end slot cars or tracks?

Thanks in advance.

I know that it is incredibly expensive at the hobby level. And that the cars haul ass.

Most of what you need should be available at your local hobby shop. (if its a good hobby shop.) Or have to order online. Its going to be expensive so don't underbid it. Do lots of research. My advice is to find a slot car forum and post up with what you want to accomplish and how many hours it could possibly take.

I wouldn't feel comfortable bidding on something like that personally. Its just so hard to tell how much time it will take. Time and material is how I like to roll. Make sure the guy is going to pay you. Last thing you want is to put in a couple hundred hours of work only to get stiffed. Good luck.
