Slow Out of the Gate

Your weight placement won't make a difference until you hit the flat part of the track, so if your car is slow out of the gate I would check your wheel and bore prep, and your rear alignment.

What if you have the weight overloaded on one side or on the DFW, What if your weight placement is too far back and the front end jolts to one side out of the gate? I think these may be a factor for slow start. I had a car do this I adjusted the weight and it started much better.

Yes... Weight placement is a factor. I have a BASX car where all of the weight is centered in the car and it was always the last car out of the gate. I moved some weight around and it starts a lot better.

Good wheel and axle prep are important too!
