So, the car I shipped to Utah for a race was lost by USPS, then I see this....

I sent one of my BASX cars off 2 weeks ago to do some racing in Utah, and my package never arrived at the venue. I sent it in a Priority Mail Flat Rate box.

I checked the tracking at USPS and the last known location for the package is Lehi, Utah.

Today, I got word from the local postmaster that the package location is unknown and to fill out a Missing Mail report, so I did that.

Then I did a Google search for Utah Post Office Accident, thinking hey maybe a truck with my package had an accident and that's where it disappeared to...

I find this report:

LEHI, Utah — The Postal Service is apologizing and pledging to take action after a video posted on Facebook shows a mail carrier kicking a pair of packages up a driveway.

The video was shot in Lehi Friday (June 2nd, 2017).

The footage, which is embedded below, appears to show the carrier dropping the packages near the sidewalk before kicking both packages several times to maneuver them up the driveway into the vicinity of the door.

VIDEO NO LONGER AVAILABLE

So did this guy, or one of his buddies mess with my package? Just my luck....

I assume those aren't your packages since it's not the destination, but seems chances are high based off of the locale and time stamp that you fell victim to these jokers.

No, the package was still 3 hours drive from the destination, but the timing is curious. You can see one of the boxes was an Amazon Prime package.

Also, this is some contract employee working for the Post Office, rather than an official Post Office employee according to the comments I read:

Imagine your car was in that box, now that's a Post Office Tune for ya!

Heck, that's giving them the velvet touch compared to how they're treated by the guys at the airport.

Update!

Well I submitted a claim to the USPS and got $50 plus my $14 postage back for the lost car.... the check arrived back around July 1st.

Yesterday I found out that the car arrived at the Post Office, back on July 14. It took 45 days for the box to be found and delivered as originally addressed, I wonder where it was all this time!

Even better, I have another chance to race it now!

I wonder if the PO will come after me to pay back the $50, otherwise that's a lucky car, I made $50 sending it to a race!
