Quicktime, this little challenge reminds me of the plight of the doomed Icarus (me being Icarus). You may recall the story that he and his inventor father were trapped in prison. To escape, his father made both of them a set of wings out of feathers and wax. His father flew safely out of the prison, but Icarus, even though he was warned flew to close to the sun. The wax on his wings melted and he plummeted to his death in a somewhat pathetic blaze of glory.

Like Icarus, I could plummet to my death on this race but the thing I liked about Icarus is the fact that greatly he tried... even though he failed.

I hope sharing this little story can inspire another racer to be daring enough to answer the call for the SP challenge.

I don't want to be the only one losing my car come race day. Ha ha.

Skippy don't play this off like you are the underdog. Your last months SS was and is faster than any SS I have put on the NPWDRL track. I hope to have some found speed, but you never know till they hit the track with all the other cars. Plus I want to be the underdog, everyone loves a underdog victory!!! As for you or I being the only ones that lose a car this month, don't forget that Kinser is going to hand over his to MR. Butterboy.

Well I'm rooting for you since you have helped me so much. There is no way my last month's SS would have been as fast as it was without the pointers you and others here at the NPWDRL have given me.

I think others might be wanting to drop in on a pinks race... Maybe this will be a monthly thing if these races go down with the amount of viewers we had last time ... Word gets out and others might want some of the action ...

Well,
Spring semester is coming close to an end. I've got finals next week then I am going to get serious about prepping my car for this race. I've got the wheels all ready and just need to polish up some axles for it. I can't wait to run my car down the track to see if it has what it takes. I decided to name it "Delayed Sword" since I was delayed in completing it.
There has been some chatter about low cost pinks which I think is cool, but this one is the real deal.
Delayed Sword VS Goldrush. Who will take it? I can't wait to see.

I can't wait for this race!!! It will be a epic battle! I ran Gold Rush down the track yesterday to see if the prep is still holding and it appears to be. I don't want to screw it up with a re-prep but the prep will be over a month old with a lot of run on it. So I think I will break down and re-prep this weekend.

Well only a couple days left till the big throw down! I'm really starting to like this car, so yours better not be all that fast Skippy! I did something tonight that I don't know if I should have, I couldn't take it any more. I had to reprep! The prep on it was a month old so it needed a fresh one I hope I can keep all the speed it had I guess time will tell.

You are two steps ahead of me. I still need to get my axles ready. I am hoping to complete it tomorrow after my last final. I'll be sure to post a picture when it is complete. I did however experiment with a different prep process on my ss thundercat. I'll be mysterious and not mention if it worked or not.

WARNING:::::: My cars are in the mail and should arrive Friday. I don't have the secret prep YET but I'm looking good on times over last race based on my track. Will be running a new SS ( Super Bee ) for the first time this year since Blue Thunder. Looking forward to the race. Good Luck to all racers.

Crew-This was already prepped with the good stuff!! I have been very successfully in slowing down my cars after the first prep, something I should try and figure out. I know Skippy is going to bring the heat and since last month he was already faster than me I need all the help I can get. It should be a epic battle!!!

SG3- Glad to hear you put a new SS together. Your speed has always made me nervous!!
