I discussed an idea with John for the National race in June. He is considering having a SPEC race for (Money/ Prizes). Basically it would consist of a kit bought from John for around $20-30, and a $10 entry fee like normal. This would give everyone a even playing field. You can only use what items you purchase with the kits. If this sparks a lot of interest , then we can get more precise with this idea and rules. This is just a idea and leg to see who would be interested.. The poll below is a ( Yes ) I want to do it or (No) I wouldn't race this event.

Just so everyone know .. Everyone would have the same WHEELS,AXLES , and BODY design with no modifications aloud. The body would be pre shaped. Only light sanding would be aloud. No wheels modification, or axles. Besides polishing. Then we would have a set weight/ and wheels base. I think this would be awesome. Like I said this is just a idea ... And no guide lines or rules have been set. Please vote

As a set of wheels alone is more than $30, I would be interested in this race. It would be a way to enter more than one race and not spend a ton in wheels and axles.

This would be a great/ cheap way to enter the league and get a feel how everything works, shipping and proxy racing. This will be a very interesting race if enough votes allows it to happen. I'm really curious who would win... It's anyone game... Cause everyone would have the same parts and material.. It would come down to prep and set up .. Great & cheap way to have fun and enjoy the races..

Cars would be on oil.. NO Fenders. We would have asset wheel base.. Pockets would be pre cut.. Any weight would be aloud. Like I said this is something I passed along to John yesterday... And I'm just doing the leg work to see who would be interested.. JOHN would have the final say in rules.. Etc.. It would be a great beginner class for entering the league at a cheap cost.. Only parts that could be used is what JOHN would provide in the kit... Minis weight & oil. Far as painting/ mono coat, I don't think it would matter . The body would be pre cut & shaped.. Only thing aloud to do would be clean up and sand lightly for paint.

A similar type class was discussed before and Johns comments from April 2013 are below.... before it was a "pinks" type race, but I think the car concept is the same as is described in this thread.... I suppose if you threw in drilling and some cheap weight you would be up around $30.

I could make kits with 4 Zinc Speed Axles, 4 Max V wheels, sugar pine block and a Legend Shipper for $10. I like the idea of the Max V wheels because they are much better quality and would be even for all.

Rules:
No cutting the wheels in any manner. Bore polishing only.
You can groove and polish the axles anyway you like but the tip of the blunt end must be visible.
Any wheelbase.
Standard dimension and weight rules.
All 4 wheels must be used and mounted in whatever position you choose but the car must roll on supplied wheels. All wheels must spin on the supplied axle.

These match races could be set up UFC style and held separate from the monthly events. It shall be called URC!

I like the idea, I like being able to determine my own WB and body design though. You can count me in for whatever.
