Well I hope to get my new SR built today! The body was not as aero as I was hoping for and the wheel base is short! Hopefully by the end of the night I'll have a better idea of how it will run. Any others going to man up and enter the class for the finals?

I can't man up this time around, still looking for my big boy pants.
smile
The new season is just around the corner, I'll be ready by then.

I had to do a double take when I seen your three badges GX. I like it though.

I'm working on my #1 SR right now. Hopefully I will have it together for the end of the month!!!!

QT are you going to barrow the "mystery machine". I'm sure you could make it fast, legally.

Sorry QT, I just didn't have enough time for the finals. I'm planning to get in on the JAN race, if time allows. Seems like a lot of guys are gravitating toward Street ROD, so that class could see a lot cars over the next few months.
roadrage

How short is the wheelbase? The car I am building right now is barley over 4" wheelbase. The aerovette is maybe a touch longer.

I build I am working on now is of my favorite car growing up. I had posters of it on my wall. It is almost as aero as the Aerovette. Started on it last weekend. It will be ready. I will post pics just before race day.

Good to hear so many guys talking about getting in on the class. January should be a good race.

I might build another one in time for MOTM. I`m in the search mode still for a model witch is a big part of the fun. With the model choice opened up and no extensions allowed this class is as fun as ever. It`s really a fun build and a little challenging, but that's why were here. Ok, who`s the first to build a street rod named "Big Boy Pants"!

If you get in quick. Your pretty much guaranteed a top 10 finish!!!

OH! OH! OH! That is a good point!
smile
I'm going to call it "XXXXXXXXXXL BOY PANTS".
IAE and DEW, you'll get a kick out this. So I asked my daughter what kinda of car she wants to make for the sibling races at my son's PWD race coming in JAN.
eeek
She stares me down and says "I'm pass that I want to race a car in your races daddy." So I don't want to hear any lip if I send in a car with purple flowers and bows called Lilly PAD's revenge.

I can see it now, Mercy Racing - Lilly Pad's Revenge. That would be funny, but very cool since it would be your daughter's car.

Sorry DEW. I removed the target badge, I didn't mean to confuse anyone and I replaced it with a phrase instead.

You didn't have to remove it. I thought it was cool, it just took a second for it to register.

No pansy name for my new Street Rod ... it's all muscle and LOTS of it !

And Poncho is going to have a side kick !

We'll see who shows their new cars first !

Do to the side of the car I haven't been able to mount the body yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Picture, I forgot how to take those.

Hmmmm.... My new car also has sides that make mounting challenging.
