STAGING instruction for each individual lane..

I stage each car exactly the same in every lane. The reason I keep a sheet is because all of my cars need to be staged differently and my memory isn't as great as it used to be, especially when I have ten cars. If I stage a car centered between the DFW and NDFW or guide pin and centered on the rear (which I definitely prefer to build them like this but sometimes fail because I don't have a track to build on) it gets staged like that in every lane. If I mess with it and I have in the past, my times suffer.

Kinser.. If you stage all your cars the same ... 1 car or 10 cars you wouldn't need a sheet.. I watched how you staged at Nationals. Your rears might be centered .. But your front is differently staged depending the lane you are running. Who your beside and etc... When you was beside my car in the finals you staged it totally different than u did in the prelims. Like I said its no big deal.. John has a solution ..

Read what I said again!

Each car is staged differently from my other cars. I've got lucky and a few are centered and centered (my SR's, one of my SS's and my BASX.

A specific car is staged exactly the same in each lane.

I have no reason to lie to you. If I staged them differently in each lane and didn't want you to know I just wouldn't say anything.

ok i by far am no where close to having to worry about these details with the staging adjustments, but from reading this post ive got a idea/thought that i would like to toss out there...

so your saying depending on how the cars next to you are staged, you may stage your car different, so my thought is the last person to stage would have the advantage, what if there was a rule (or gentlemans agreement) all cars be staged left to right , this would make any advantage by staging after another live racer completely random

and there may be this in place and i haven't caught on to it lol

thanks

And to think I was extremely discouraged and feeling hopeless about improving before reading this-

not to sound negative but what's the point in me trying to improve my build process when I would never know if it was helping?

I don't know if my prep is sufficient, if my polishing is working, if my fenders are shaped right, if my drill job is good, weight placement etc.. It would be insanity to go start a new build or to keep doing what I'm doing to these cars.

I just don't have what it takes to run with you guys- good luck everyone.
I was going to respond to this post until I noticed that Corvid has deleted his profile.

I think Laserman has worked with him a lot. It is frustrating not seeing an improvement. This is my first time not seeing any after making some changes and I am no where near the times he was pushing. I at least know there are some things I can do better but I can imagine it being even more frustrating when you think you have everything as good as you know how to do and it still isn't enough.

Guys just understand... Make simple small changes... Most cars are really fragile and tempered.. 1 wrong tweak and you can go backwards. Always take and keep notes. What's changes you made , what worked, what didn't. How you cars act in certain lanes with fast cars and slow cars.. This is how I started . but don't be scared to try new this.. Your not gonna get fast if you don't. And go ahead and except failure.. Cause it's gonna happen 7 out of 10 times . Then when you least expect it .. You will find like 5-7 thousand and your like WTH .. Then you spend the next 3-4 trying to figure out what you did.... Then you lose your speed again.. It's part of the game and the RUSH... Enjoy the moment .. It's hard to get.. Congrats to all the racers the found speed this month..

You know I was in that boat, I thought there is absolutely nothing else I could do. My brain churns 24/7 trying to think of how to get faster. And then something caught my attention one day and opened up a whole new box of things to try.

Reach out and ask, there are a lot of good guys on here that will step out of their way to help/point you in the right direction!

I was feeling a bit frustrated that a lot of cars are faster than mine, until it was mentioned to me that I had picked up some speed with my eliminator cars. I don't know how much more speed but it was noticed by others. Then I looked at the MOTM standings and I'm in the top 15 racers in each class I race except one. So ... Even though a lot of cars are faster than mine, I am seeing improvement with my cars.

I don't know ... I'm just trying to enjoy this hobby. Spend a few hours each night relaxing while building a new car or tweaking a car. Send them to race and see if my times improve from race to race. Make some new friends like JBD, and others along with everyone at Zeebzob's Race Shop.

I don't sweat the small stuff, after only 9 months of racing I don't expect to have the fastest cars.

Hold on!
First of all is this the guy that is currently ranked 5th in SR?
Also the fella that nearly went 2.96xx last race in SS?
You gotta be kidding me!
What would Apollo Hester's say?

Secondly!

What ya got Ice?
Those were some blistering times you were putting up.
I am without shame.
Gimme some help!
