Starting devices?

Reading the rules i was a bit confused by rule a. Ive posted pics of two of my bodies....is the front "bumper" considered a starting devise?

As long as rule "F" isn't infringed you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply...the car im prepairing doesnt have a front "bumper " but im tbe type that wants to understand all the rules before i enter to make sure i lose leagally

Only thing that would concern me about a thin wire front end like that is that it is so far from the track and skinny that it may not trip the finish timer? The guys that used to run those would use something like a small flag of tape on the wire to make sure the nose would fully break the beam.

I had wondered about that myself....both of those cars are on hold (so i can concentrate on my Feb entry and make it the best of my abilties....for now) i just didnt have time to finish them and test em...thanks for the feedback
