Stock & Super Stock DD4H Wheels Question

From the DD4H store, the following are the listed wheels for S/SS with their speed gains...

Listed speed gains:

BASX Wheels: 0.01
Rage: 0.03
Cheetah v3: 0.06
Cheetah Extreme: 0.08
Nitro: 0.06
LiteSpeed: 0.07
Intimid8r: 0.08

When would one use Nitro/LiteSpeed wheels instead of Cheetah Extremes? The only case I can think of the weight savings on the Nitros/LiteSpeeds.

I can’t exactly answer how DD4H came up with the speeds you listed, but….

The BASX, Rage, Nitro & Litespeed cuts are based on Scout rules:

BASX = no real modification allowed

Rage = Typical Modification allowed

Nitro = All Letters must remain

Litespeed = Outside letters must remain

Those (4) wheels selections are based on typical variations of scout rules.

The Cheetah series was perfected for league racing and they are top quality and the best of the best. When the fit scout rules I would definitely use the Cheetah series of wheels. There are many factors that make a wheel fast and weight is of course weight is one of them, but where and how the weight is removed is also important…. There are other things that are important that are included in the Cheetah design as wellJ
