I personally recommend the Cheetah Xtreme if you are on an aluminum track then they are nearly as fast as the LS or Nitro because they are more rigid.

Just wanted to confirm that Cheetah Xtreme is rigid enough to run without reversing. I've only run 2 gram and 1 gram before.
Thanks

All good points and opinions. I guess it boils down to personal morals and ethics. I don't think anyone in my pack cheats.

Very possible a couple in my son's very small pack are doing something.

He won the pack his first two years. Tiger and Wolf.

Last year as a Wolf, in the overall pack race, a new Webelo actually beat him one round.

Now in fairness, in the Wolf/Bear race, the Cubmaster was doing the starts, and we have an old homemade wood track. You have to manually hold the starting gate up, then slam it down quickly....my son's car was up for its last run and the cubmaster got distracted and looked away. Let the gate down a bit then back up...and it threw his car off the line onto the floor.
It won that round still, but by only about a car, whereas the first few rounds it was winning by 3+ lengths. So it was slower than it was to begin with, but still fast.

Anyway, was talking to the Webelo's dad, and just casually mentioned how my son did all his own polishing, etc, and he said "Polishing? All we did was put it together like it came out of the box".

Yeah, sure you did. That's when I knew they did something.
