What is the usual stopping distance for cars on a Best Track after hitting the stop section? I have my home made 40 inch stop section using the Best Track rubber material. My wood track is 39 feet gate to timer, and my cars usually take most of the 40 inches to stop. Is this typical? It doesn't matter much whether I have the stop section level or sloping up. I have tried other materials but haven't found anything better. Any suggestions or ideas?

Just a random YouTube observation kinda related......i swear i saw a video where a troop didn't have a stop section.....someone was holding a pillow. The cars would JUMP off the end of the track, hit the pillow and fall into a box below....on top of each other. You win....The other cars landed on top of urs. I would have stroked!

I wipe my stop strips down with a damp paper towel every so often. Seems like it gets slick when it gets dusty.

I use johns method but I also use (2) stop sections , 80" total
Bought the extra stop section with the track then added 2x tape later
