I was trying to get my Dodge Dakota Street Rod finished for March Madness. The .007 Carbon Fiber/Foam Composite Chassis is done but needs some new wheels from DD4H and the .010 Lexan body still need painting

HEY that is really cool! How did you do that? Sir, you have some major talant!

Very carefully with lots of planning & patience. I used a old 4 oz. tungsten round and some 1/4 cubes for weight. If I did it over I would have used epoxy resin rather than polyester resin for the composite laminate to save some weight. I am going to paint the body with the paint scheme and number I used on my first sprint car.

Man I cant wait to see it all done. I would like to watch you as you painted. bet I could learn something even if it was wrong haha.

Chief, you would laugh when you saw my 45 year old Paasche airbrush. Still cuts a clean line. Traded a paint job on a Vincent "Black Shadow" for the Paasche. Not a bad name think I will call my next Unlimited that.

My hats off to you my friend...Me and an air brush just Do not get along...if I did, I would have to get and Iwata...I can paint, I can lay out some graphiX, and I can lay down clear like no other but air brush...get me a hammer...I dont have the patience for it haha

The next new HLVP paint gun I want is a minature Iwata LPH50 with a 0.6 nozzle, puts down a 1/8 to 4" pattern. Perfect for Pinewood Derby Cars. Price is steep almost $300.00

I get amazing prices on that stuff...I will price one for ya tomorrow. I used my Iwata 80 but I use my LPH300 for clear and my W400 for everything else...which is sad because Im a SATA guy haha
