STREET ROD DRAG RACING

Before the last race I ran my bearing car to try and fix the differential in lanes and the result were interesting.
Red 2.883
White 2.884
Black 2.884
Blue 2.883
Not much to fix with that. We'll have to show a test on the next live feed if time permits.

There is only one problem that I see with the drag racing. The SR's were pretty close in the last race. Who ever is in the red lane would probably win.

Pinewood derby is far different from drag racing. You have the car only to rely on and no driving abilities can play into it.

Pinewood derby isn't like any other type of racing.

I understand what Kinser is saying here and I somewhat agree with him. Although in my opinion, pinewood derby racing is similar to drag racing in one aspect. In drag racing, vehicle set up is very much a part of winning and loosing. The set up can be the difference between a clean run and not getting down the track under power. If the set up is wrong for the track conditions, then even the best of drivers performance will suffer. Same goes for the pinewood derby cars. For example, Not enough steer and they will wiggle.

I think it would be really neat to try CHR's suggestion of a qualified and laddered, single elimination, Street Rod field for just one race to see if people like it.
