What a kick in the butt. My car is the exact same model, and I was proud of the beautiful paint job. I was even going to post a picture. Now, in comparison, mine now looks like yellow crap.
I have yet to of seen a vette that looks like crap...you could paint the windows black and give it one or two black racing stripes ya know the "SS" kind. you could even do the stripes in a matt black that way the yellow really pops out???Just an idea

I need to apologize to FiredUp about my above comment. It was really a back handed complement. His car is incredibly beautiful. Actually, my car really does look nice, just not so out-of-the-park outstanding. I'll still post a picture when I get it finished. Currently it is neon yellow with black windows and headlight covers, obviously black wheels, and has several coats of polished clear coat. The car has the racing modified nose that goes almost flat onto the track (i.e. as in real life racing models). As someone suggested, I am going to add some black stripes in some manner, just haven't figured out exactly how yet. I need to search out more pictures. Just wish I was good enough to do airbrushing as nicely as FiredUp did.

Stripes Great idea, glad you thought of it. For me the best way to attain great looking stripes of any kind is to go to the local automotive paint supply store and buy some 3M blue fine line tape. It is very flexible and easy to put on and take off, and it wont peel the paint off. Once you get the stripes laid out the way you want use regular 3M masking tape ( I prefer the green 3/4 inch green tape from the same supply house) and tape just over the fine line tape and finish masking off the rest of the car. If you use this tape be sure to deaden it a little before you tape it down it can peel paint. Then spray on whatever color, in your case black, on the part of the car you have not masked typically the best to use is model spray paint, it seems to atomize better. On the other hand I really like what they call "Trim Black" it is a product that is made by SEM (automotive paint store again) this stuff is wont weigh much if you spray about 4 super light coats on and it looks exactly like the matt finish black on the cars we drive everyday. Best of luck and cant wait to see it. Let me know what worked for you. I hope my post does not sound bossy, I just really get excited about paint!!

Opa, you could also get some single line pinstriping of the width you want and use it to put the stripes on. Silver on the yellow would look awesome IMO.
