Street Rod rules

I have a question about Street Rod interpretation. I'm trying to get a street rod ready for the end of the Fire Series and I'm choosing out models. If a model comes with a spoiler is it necessary to attach it? I have a few picked out that I really like but one of them comes with a spoiler and holes in the body to attach it. I've seen somewhere that mirrors can be left off, but I'm not sure on a spoiler.

The rules from NPWDRL are as follows:

You can only use 1/25th or 1/24th scale models that are no longer than 8.25″. NO EXTENDERS only model body original length. NO SLOT CAR LEXAN BODIES!!!

Original windshields, roofs, doors, fenders, grills, hoods, trunks and main body parts must be used (No chopping up, stretching, piecing together or hacking the body). No drilling out or cutting holes in the back of the car. Tail lights need to be attached.

I personally don't consider a spoiler as a main body part or part of the trunk, but I'd hate to build a car and have it ineligible. (although I doubt anybody would throw too big of a fit when I run a 3.2) /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

I guess I could always just build it with the spoiler and I'd have a good contestant for the snail race. (It's a pretty nasty gaudy spoiler)

I wouldnt worry about it.

Sounds good! I'll get to work on it. If the first race is a predictor of things to come I'm bound to get top 15! (only 14 entries were present at the last race)
