I just wanted to take a moment and say, Bracket and GX, it was great to see your cars lined up at the race!

Kudos to you both!

Thanks! It was fun to watch here live also! Now I just need to work on building a fast Street Rod. These other guys are smoking fast in every class!

Just to clarify: I called out GX and Bracket specifically because they brought cars that AFAIK were in retirement; I hadn't seen the blue Mustang, the Ford NASCAR racer, or the awesome Impala since they appeared in my "Show Off Your Street Rods" thread.

So, Skippy, Ca$h, and everyone else who ran SRs (Door Slammers/Street Slammers/Door Rods), way to go!

I really tried to get my cars together in time for this one, but if I would have sent in, it would have been another crushing defeat, and, well, it would've made it even harder to press on.

I have some ideas for a door slammer that might be worth investigating. Need to read over the rules to see if the ideas are legal

Crash, I've only ever ran those two cars at Nationals. They're never retired, I just let them rest for a year between races. Lol

Hate to say it, but I've been too lazy to build a good shipping box for them so I haven't proxied them.

Thanks for the kudos! I did have another one there, the '69 Charger, but a slight mishap took place due to my haste. I failed to open the box and I was just going to run it on the old prep. While back at the hotel room I opened the box and to my surprise and total shock, I forgot I had removed the wheels a few months earlier. My heart skipped a few beats! That's what I get for rushing around. I'll certainly check next time. LOL
