This will be my first car built for NPWDRL. This is also my first car drilled using the silver bullet. Sugar pine for the body, bass wood fenders. Johns pro axles and V2 cheetahs. Hoping it does well.

Looks great. Looks like you are ahead of me for the green. I just got some neon green and yellow monokote trim sheets so I could build out some more brightly colored cars.

I am thinking muscle car era for mine. Bright colors with black stripes.

Thanks guys. I suppose I would be happy with anything under 3.00. I need some speed badges in my sig. Working on the street rod right now.

TB,

Looks like Sub 3.0 should not be a problem for your car. Maybe Flash Gordon will give it a little mojo off the start gate.

Well done TB! As everyone else has already said, great looking, clean designed car. Best of luck with it and look forward to seeing more creations by you in the future.

Do you know that in racing circles, the color GREEN (and the number 5) are sure bad luck signs?
I should know, my earlier Porsche Speedster was Green and number 5.
It never placed until I repainted it red and changed the number to 55 (which I have been told is double bad luck).
I have a paint brush that I just used to paint my house. I will send it to you with some red fingernail polish.

Don't worry Tedbull, if it's a fast car the color won't matter and if it's a slow car the color won't save it! My first entry was green, too.

Green seemed to work out OK for Harry Gant. But I wouldn't eat peanuts in the pits.........

Maybe some beginners luck will over power the unlucky green. I have at least 6 more cars worth of green monokote trim left, So this wont be the last bright green car you see from me.

I really am happy drilling with the silver bullet. Consistent good alignment the last three bodies I have done. My Mid America Car had a really bad toe in on the rears from my previous method and I didn't have time to correct it before the race. The car did ok considering. But could have been much faster I think.

I am curious to see how my build does based on a quality drill job.

Lots of great info on this site. And every time I build another car I get better at it. But this street rod is kicking my butt. On my second pine body with this one because the wheelbase was 1/8 off and no room for error in the wheel well. Just have to get the model body mounted to the pine chassis now. Then I will take some pics and post them up.
