Hey guys this is my first post, I have been lurking for a while. I have to admit I caught the PWD bug a couple of years ago when my oldest son was a Tiger cub. His troop dissolved and so we skipped a year, now he is a Bear and my youngest son is a Tiger. So we did the PWD this year and I got the bug really bad. District races were yesterday and my Bear took first in Bear's and third overall, my Tiger took first in Tiger's and second overall. I think this was a success because these cars we built were completed before I started to read the information that is available on this site. So the cars were graphite, bent rear axles and all and we still ran low 3.1xx and took home four trophies.
I have read every post on the site at least once and some multiple times. I will start proxy racing the NPWDRL this month (hopefully). My goal is to build a sub 3 second car, and start building from there hopefully becoming competitive in the AM BASX class and eventually racing with the big boys at some point but there is a lot of learning and work before that will happen.
Thanks for the information and I hope I will be able to start contributing soon.
