super track council race

The primary reason we switched the DFW to neg camber/cant was that we needed to keep the back wheels off the side rails. I guess we didn't actually try it, but just assumed that pos cant would keep the wheel at the body and not at the axle head. Even if it would stay at the axle head, we'd still have to pull the axle out a whole lot further. Plus, I thought neg cant would just be faster for the same reasoning we use pos cant against the inside rail.

I think the lettering would also be another reason. Even with neg cant, the bottom half of the lettering on the DFW was wearing off. In fact, that's how we could tell we were successfully keeping the back wheels off because the lettering still looked good on that wheel! We thought about reversing the DFW inside out, but didn't want to draw a lot of attention to the car and also didn't want the lettering to rub the car body during the bumps. A lot of Dad's experienced with the track were shaving off the lettering of their wheels.
