Swab stalk in the wheelbore?

I can't find the thread where someone (I can't remember who) got a swab stalk stuck in the wheelbore while polishing and I can't remember how they got it out. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

I believe they soaked it in water first and then pushed it out, IIRC.

That would be me, Kinser! I was told to soak it for 24 hours. It came right out.

Thanks guys. How did you get it to come out? The stalk twisted off and there's nothing to grab.

After it soaked for a day, I used a toothpick and pushed it out.

Hope you get it out, what size q tip are you using that got stuck? Anyone have a preferred size of q-tips to do there bores?

I got it out. I had to use my teeth. It's the only thing I had that I knew wouldn't damage the hub. I just used a Studio 35. I was trying a new polishing technique. I'd never got one stuck before. For the last several years I have not used a swab stalk. I used the No Scratch Applicators.

97-98 thousandths studio 35 are what I go to first

I prefer walmarts Equate brand Q-tip stalks as they are the right size 97-99 for the newer mold wheels. For the predator wheels I'd recommend sanding then down to 96-97 and go as slow as possible.

Dentists are real good at telling if you are fisherman when looking at your teeth, I doubt however if many are used to detecting this level of PWD dedication ...

I will remember that when I finally get my preds... I have some on order.

I check the gauge on all of my stalks and actually separate them in bins. LOL... so the Studio 35 swabs that I have for 96-97 will be used for those
