Hi Everyone.

Wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped me and provided valuable information! Special thanks to Reecedad! Thank you for being so generous and making this experience wonderful.

Our tech day was a huge success. We tested a number of cars, and a few were fast. Most were fast actually.

I tested my adult derby cars first, as I wanted to race them once, see what sort of time they had, and place them in the box so they weren't touched. My Derby Duck car was BLAZING fast, thanks again Mike, and blasted my other cars by more than a car length. Before I could get them back in the box away from prying hands, people were waiting at the end of the track to pick them up and examine them and ask me questions. I'm glad they liked them, but just wanted to get them out of there hands, lol. We run on a 49 foot best track. It seemed slower than last year though. The man placing the cars said 3.8 was a really good time. Derby Duck ran a 3.5851.

My son and I raced the kids cars next. My daughter didn't want to come, she is only in 1st grade. Her cars did excellent. One ran a 3.6601, which beat my second best car that ran on oil and had super light tires! My son's car was fast too. I built a car, with your guys advice, with 1/16 shaved and placed on the other side. Stayed up til 4 in the morning to get it done last night! Paint was still drying at tech day. But it was worth it. It ran a 3.7005. He was NOT happy his sister's car was faster and has requested I build one exactly like hers. So guess there is one more build coming before next Saturday's race.

Overall, went great. I didn't have to tune a single bit, all my prep worked. And the cars that I felt would be fastest, were fastest, which is great because I questioned by ability to judge without a test track.

Just another thanks to you guys! Saturday can't come fast enough, we are all excited for the race.
