Today is my kids PWDR. I set up my 42 foot 4 lane best track yesterday for the race so derby dads could run their cars wich became mostly a fiasco but rewarding as well. my kids graphite car was running sub 3 with some sub 2.98 times. 2.970 to be precise. then the car went away. 3.003, 3.056 and so on. I took the car home, Disassembled it reprepped everything. went back and was back and the first run was 2.993 I did pull a 2.976 once. But then i noticed something wrong with the track. As I eyeballed down the track I could see a problem with the curve section. I went home and grabbed my digital angle finder. My start section was 24 degrees for starters. The curve section was low in the back. So I moved the legs forward until it lined up with the first section of the flat track then i had to raise the first section or the start section to 27.1 degrees. I did it and WOW!!! My first run after resetting the track was 2.926. Im not embellishing anything here. I set my track according to best tracks instructions and thought that was good. It wasn't. I hope to post some pics tonight of the track and of some times. I want to thank John Halliburton, Kinser, gravity X, 5 kids, Laserman, and the list goes on and on. i could not have done this without this website forum If you are wondering what I use for my graphite prep, the secret ingredient is WS2, or tungsten disulfide. That puts the pop in my cars. Well I should get going Here. Race time is closing in fast. I hope we win today. thanks again Jim...
