Always good stuff from 5Kids ...
A few additional notes:
- John's newest Silver Bullet has nice cutouts in the normal drilling areas, which is very helpful for not dinging your drill bit and to allow a check of axle height after clamping (be glad you waited to buy !);
- When preparing my wood, I make sure that the bottom side is as very flat, such that when I press on it's corners, it does not deflect (so it doesn't rise after you remove clamps);
- I make sure my wood blank slides smoothly into the silver bullet PRIOR to marking axle holes. If I have to, I will sand off some wood (with ~ 100 - 220 grit) from one side to make it slide nicely - otherwise you will have to re-do axle hole markings;
- The supplied pin from John works, but I prefer a longer drill blank.
