I cannot fit a 35' with a full extra stop section, so a 42' is out of the question. But I do understand what your saying.

I have not ordered a track yet but I did build a tuning table. Its pretty standard. Graphic from DD4H. Hollow core 24"×80" door cut down. Pine trim for the sides. 24x72x1/4" glass. Sitting on folding table. The glass cost $100. The rest added up to another $100. So $200 total for a nice table. Not bad.
