Track time...

I'm getting ready to order a 42' 4 lane best track with the Microwizard K3 Grand Prix package. I'm planning to run Grand Prix manager for software. Due to spacial constraints, I'll be running It at 35' for testing and tuning. I've studied the posts in the track section a good bit but don't see much in regards to the lift and level kit. Has anyone had any experience with this add on? After I recover from the initial investment I plan to attempt a few upgrades I've seen mentioned and possibly add an ESS. It appears some ground clearance is required when using the Microwizard timer. Not to mention I'd prefer the track was off the ground. For those of you veterans that have already been down this road, are there any other pearls of wisdom you'd like to have known prior to your purchase and set up?

I seem to remember seeing a promo code for Bet Track but that may be dating me in terms of how long I've been lurking...they may only offer that seasonally or stopped it altogether? Thank you for any information!

I purchased the Lift and Level kit for our track. It works fairly well. Use a long level to set the track up. It kind of sags in the middle of the lanes. Granted, it is not much, but it is there. Getting the angle setup right is the longest part of the build.

I have the lift and level kit for mine. However I have just made some wood stands to replace the legs. I do a lot of pack races. To screw in the legs every time is a pain and time consuming. Now I just set them on the stands and clamp together. Way faster and the track is much more stable!

Quick time. In all your spare time..... could you post a picture of the leveling system on your track next time you host a race.

Thanks guys. I still need to paint them. They make the track so much more stable. When the kids bump it now it hardly moves, no sway at all.

Thank you for posting a picture of your your wooden support frames. I'm positive I could replicate those for $150.00 the lift and leveling system costs. It probably wouldn't be too hard or costly to add leveling feet on them either.

Frank, I'll measure them when I get home. The hill still sits on the extensions I got from best track when I ordered the lift kit.

Sorry man playing mister mom the weekend and totally spaced it last night. I was thinking about it though if your not using the best track lift on the hill you can make it whatever height you want. If you want it 6 inches or 24 inches off the ground it doesn't matter as long as you make them all the same. If I remember right the height of the cross section were the track rest is 18 inch.

No problems, the 18" height is what I need. Do you recommend the Lift Kit -- Or Just make a 18” high stand for the Starting Section?

I called BestTrack they will sell the 1st two (Hill Lifts) extensions for $16 (Price Currently be Verified) plus shipping.

So, Go with BestTrack Hill Lift Extensions or Just make the Stands?
